Current Rates
East Pasadena Water Company's rates are set by the California Public Utilities Commission. Our last rate general rate increase went into effect July 17, 2009.
On July 13, 2011 East Pasadena Water Company filed Advice Letter No. 73 with the CPUC. The following rates are the increase as authorized by the CPUC Decision No. 92-03-093. These new rates reflect an increase of 1.5% to offset the increase in the Consumer Price Index of 2010.
Water bills issued in the months of July and August, 2011 will be pro rated, the amount listed below is the full amount of the 1.5% CPI increase.

In addition to the Service Charge, all customers are billed a commodity charge which is the amount charged for each 100 cubic feet of water (ccf). the current price per ccf is $1.53 regardless of the amount of water used, and regardless if you are a residential or commercial customer.
A dripping faucet or fixture can waste three gallons of water a day, a total of 1,095 gallons of water a year.
Below is a chart to demonstrate what a seemingly small leak can cost you. A continuous leak delivered at 60 psi (pounds per square inch) would, over a two-month period waste water in the amount shown.
